Bwanji is more than a word; it's an invitation. In Chichewa, one of Zambia's many languages, it means "How are you?"—an opening to conversation, a gesture of goodwill, and the first step toward connection.
Project Bwanji is a digital documentary initiative dedicated to moving beyond the single story of Zambia. Our mission is to build bridges of understanding across the chasms of perception, privilege, and experience by sharing intimate, nuanced stories of everyday lives. We believe that true understanding begins not with statistics, but with human connection.
